The automatic exposure system often responds by stopping down the lens too much.
That leaves you with underexposed pictures. Our tip: manually shift the EV value before taking the shot.
Without EV shift
With EV shift
JUST FOLLOW THESE STEPS
In the REC mode, press [MENU].
Select the "Quality" tab, select "EV Shift", and then press [SET].
Use and to change the exposure compensation value, and then press [SET].
Note:
: A higher EV value (+) is best used for light-coloured subjects and backlit subjects.
: A lower EV value (-) is best for dark-coloured subjects and for shooting outdoors on a clear day.
To cancel EV Shift, adjust the value until it becomes 0.0.
Press the shutter button to record the image.
Additional tip:
Once you've found the perfect settings for ice and snow shots, save them in your BEST SHOT user setups.
