And this is how it works:
The 10.1 megapixel resolution is the key to an innovative solution. When the digital zoom is activated, images with resolutions from VGA up to a maximum of 5 megapixels can be stored in the central area of the CCD chip and projected by the relevant zoom factor, without any detail being lost. Depending on the resolution you choose, this lets you achieve a zoom factor of between 1.4x and 17.1x, and still keeps you close to the action.
Continuous zoom shooting
Everything in view: With this function you get two photos at the same time when you press the shutter release once – one complete image and a selected detail. The divided display not only enables you to view both images, but also the practical illustration makes it easier for you to select the detail of the image you require. The quality of this detail depends on the resolution which was preset.
