You can prove that not all cats are grey at night by using this BEST SHOT mode. When the sun goes down and all lights come on, many a city first appears in its full splendour. For a good night time photo, you need a long exposure time, infinite focus and automatic white balance. Your camera adjusts to these settings automatically when you select the BEST SHOT "Night Scene" mode. Hold your camera very still at this setting, since the slightest wobbling when taking nighttime photos quickly leads to blurred images.
A tip:
Hold the camera firmly in both hands and support yourself on your elbows. This will allow you to take sharp nighttime photos even without a tripod.
